About Aguaconsult
Director and primary consultant
Harold Lockwood is the Director of Aguaconsult. He holds a Master’s degree in small-scale engineering and rural development as well as a first degree in social sciences. Harold has more than 18 years of international work experience, largely in water supply, sanitation and environmental health, in a variety of countries in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. His expertise includes the organisation of the water supply and sanitation sector, policy analysis and institutional reform, sustainability of service delivery and post-construction support to services delivered via community-management models. He has worked for a range of clients including the Environmental Health Project of USAID, the World Bank, other private sector firms, international NGOs and specialist sector institutions such as IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre in the Netherlands.
Over recent years Harold has become increasingly involved in the field of disaster risk reduction, including community based disaster preparedness and the development of policy for integrating risk reduction into development planning. He has been involved in numerous evaluations of humanitarian programmes and policy development work, for clients such as DFID, the European Commission and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.

Technical Staff
Anna Le Gouais has recently joined the Aguaconsult team as our Project Officer - Water, Sanitation and Hygiene. Anna is holds an M.Sc. in Water Management from Cranfield University, where she specialised in community water supply and sanitation. She has previously worked in the private, public and NGO sectors and has field experience from Benin, India, and Thailand, including working with the International Rescue Committee doing environmental health work with Burmese migrants and refugees. Anna will be taking on Tania Verdemato's role for the coming year, during which time Tania will be on leave.

Administration and support staff
Richard Ward is Aguaconsult's Projects Administrator and provides important support functions in the day-to-day running of the business, as well as in project acquisition and content. Richard holds an M.A. in Anthropology of Development and Rights from Goldsmiths College, University of London and a B.Sc in Anthropology from University College London.

Aguaconsult also relies on the services of a dedicated financial and accounting firm, Ling Training and Accounting, which provides regular financial oversight and produces monthly management accounts and reports that allow for regular monitoring and control of all individual projects.
