Jeremy Colin

Jeremy Colin has a professional background in urban environmental health and worked in UK local government before specializing in water and sanitation for developing countries. Following full-time contracts in Pakistan (as Director of an NGO specializing in sanitation) and Zambia (as WaterAid’s adviser to a government water supply, sanitation and hygiene promotion programme) he became an independent consultant in 1998. Over the last eighteen years he has undertaken assignments for a range of multilateral, bilateral, private sector and NGO clients, particularly in the areas of policy and strategy development, sector reform and decentralisation, strengthening service delivery to the poor, research and documentation, programme design and evaluation and multi-stakeholder planning processes, and has worked extensively in the Indian Sub-continent and Africa. Jeremy has extensive experience in a number of countries, including: India, Pakistan, Cambodia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Vietnam, Uganda, Zambia, Nigeria, Mozambique, South Africa and Malawi.
