Joseph is a WASH Consultant specialising in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) and research-based approaches. He is proficient in MEL system thinking, design and implementation; measuring impact to generate insights that inform strategic thinking and decision-making.
Joseph’s portfolio of work includes conducting multi-country evaluations for UNICEF, WaterAid and the FCDO; Theory of Change design for Water Integrity Network and Stop Climate Chaos; investment monitoring validation for DFAT; building and managing MEL systems for programmes and organisations such as the FRANK Water and Tools for Self Reliance; technical support, knowledge and learning services for SNV; and research for the Sanitation Learning Hub and Water.org.
Prior to going freelance, Joseph worked in the Water team at Itad, a specialist MEL consulting firm. He has worked across several different country contexts and holds an MSc in International Land and Water Management from Wageningen University.
