In 2011, Triple-S undertook a review of 11 major WASH Development Partner’s policy documents using a technique known as Qualitative Document Analysis or QDA. The results of this review are presented in this publication.
Current water sector reforms in Malawi are taking place against the backdrop of a broader pan-governmental effort to decentralise service provision authority to local government. The newly established Local Development Fund is a mechanism with the potential to increase fiscal decentralisation and build capacity at the local level to address delivery of rural water services, alongside many other technical sectors.
The main objective of this evaluation was to assess the results of DG ECHOs support in Uganda. Specifically, this evaluation assessed the extent to which DG ECHO assistance, both overall and by sector has been appropriate and has impacted positively on the targeted population.
