The main objective of this evaluation was to assess the results of DG ECHOs support in Uganda. Specifically, this evaluation assessed the extent to which DG ECHO assistance, both overall and by sector has been appropriate and has impacted positively on the targeted population.
This evaluation focuses on strategic issues, as well as implications relating to a phase-down of current DG ECHO operations in Nepal following the recent changes in the political situation in the country.
In late 2006 Aguaconsult won a competitive tender to lead an evaluation of ECHO disaster preparedness plans from 1998 to 2006 and subsequently managed a team which visited three countries to carry out field visits and interview implementing partner staff.
During an almost 12 month period from March 2005, Aguaconsult provided technical input and advisory services to DFIDs disaster risk reduction team in the development of a dedicated policy.
