Who we are

We are Aguaconsult an employee-owned Water & Sanitation consultancy company, our official name is Aguaconsult Ltd.  Our directors are Harold Lockwood (Founder), Julia Boulenouar & Melissa Magna. We are a private limited company, and our registered business address is 4 Pearl Walk, (Wivenhoe), Colchester, Essex, UK, CO7 9GS. Our website address is https://www.aguaconsult.co.uk

Our Data Handling principles

The General Data Protection Regulation act (May 1st, 2018) meant that as a company we need to make sure that we protect any data that we hold that could be considered sensitive, personal or identifiable.  As the effects of Brexit on this legislation is unsure, we will continue to work to these security levels.  We are registered with and follow all guidance from the ICO (Information Commissioners Office).  

In addition to this web privacy statement on how we use your personal data, we also work to an annually revised ‘IT and Data security policy’ that considers all data collection in our work.  The policy governs how we collect personal data, its safe storage and timely deletion.  Annexed to this policy is our operating procedures governing how we manage a data breach or subject access request.

  1. We only collect information that we need for a specific purpose.

  2. We keep it secure.

  3. We ensure it is relevant and up to date.

  4. We only hold as much as we need, & only for as long as we need it. 

  5. We have a process to allow the data subject of the information to see all on request/ have all data deleted from our systems.

Who we share your data with

Aguaconsult Ltd does not share data with any third parties nor does our website provider, Wix.

How long we retain your data (contact form) 

If you have submitted an enquiry via our contact form here, we indefinitely hold your email address, the name you gave, subject of enquiry and message in our website host database (Wix), and a copy of the message will be sent to our Operations Team’s business email addresses hosted by 123 Reg. If you subscribed to the Aguaconsult newsletter here, we hold your email address (and name, if you added your name in the subscription process) so that we can send you occasional newsletters with news relating to Aguaconsult. You can ask for your information to be removed or updated at any time by following the link at the bottom of our newsletter or by emailing the Operations team. If we have 3 bounce backs from your email address it will be removed from our Newsletter contact list.

What rights you have over your data

If you submitted an enquiry on our contact page here or subscribed our newsletter here you can request to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you by emailing the Operations team. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

If you have submitted an enquiry via our contact form here, or subscribed our newsletter here, we hold your email address, the name you gave (if supplied), and for the contact form the subject of enquiry and message in our Wix database, and a copy of the message will be sent to our Operations Team hosted by 123 Reg. Wix and 123 Reg do not have rights to use any of our data stored for marketing purposes.
