Didier Allely has over 30 years’ experience in water, sanitation and hygiene, working for NGOs, consulting firms, donors, multilateral organizations and, as a technical adviser, for Governments, particularly in Africa, providing technical assistance and institutional support, particularly in the development of policies and strategies, national plans and medium-term expenditure frameworks, and sector monitoring including sector finance.
Didier has been based in Niger, Mali and Kenya and has provided support to national institutions in Burkina Faso, Brazil, Benin, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Uganda, Senegal, Tanzania, Tchad and Togo. Additionally, Didier also contributed to the reinforced UN mechanism for global monitoring of drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (Joint Monitoring Programme, GLAAS, TrackFin).
